The Apply Club Health is proud to present our next free online speaker event:
Intimate connections: embedded design anthropology in medical device innovation
Annie Lambla, Lead User Experience Researcher, Coloplast
March 27, 2025, 3 pm CET
Online via Zoom
Talk Description:
I will talk about the experience of working with anthropological approaches in a product-driven medical device company that is a global leader in solutions to help people living with chronic, intimate healthcare needs. Offering a peek inside an in-house user research team embedded in both R&D and commercial strategy processes, I will share both what value an anthropologist's mindset can bring to the corporate setting, as well as talk about day-to-day realities along the way.
Speaker:
I am a lead experience researcher, design anthropologist, and facilitator with a focus in healthcare and medical product innovation. Originally from the US, I studied anthropology, museum studies, and business, and have worked in Canada, Italy and Denmark. I bring the training and experience of anthropology and design to navigate the kind of intimate data we hide from AI, unearthing the relevant keys to nurture quality care and meaningful craft. When not at work, I am developing my own craft as an amateur weaver, natural dyer, fermenter, forager, and mother.
The Apply Club Health Team is very much looking forward to the session with Annie; as always here will be time for questions and a discussion after her presentation.
We hope to see you there!
