Join us for a Global Anthropology Project (GAP) Professional Development Event designed to support anthropologists in navigating the job market.
“Anthropologists Get That Job!”
will bring together experienced anthropologists from around the world who will share practical insights, skills, and advice on career opportunities beyond academia and strategies for successfully applying anthropological knowledge in professional settings.

Whether you are a student, early-career anthropologist, or exploring new professional paths, this session will offer valuable guidance and inspiration for building your career.

Registration is FREE but required.

The event starts at 9:00 AM Pacific Time (PT), which is 6:00 PM Central European Time (CET).

The speakers are: 

Olivia Schneider holds a master's in Social Anthropology from the University of Oslo and focuses on the cross-section of migration, gender and health. She is a project manager and freelance qualitative researcher and service designer. As Network Convenor at the EASA Applied Anthropology Network (AAN) from 2024-2026, she initiated the AAN Mentorship Program as well as the Career Paths event series to provide guidance and information related to career development for students, recent graduates and those wishing to transition into applied work.

Kat Hutton is a Canadian applied anthropologist and UX researcher skilled at designing grounded, person-centered studies that blend qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as developing research processes in both private and public sectors. She is passionate about culture-led explorations, visual anthropology, and sharing through public speaking, volunteering, and writing.

Nour Al Halabi is a visual anthropologist with a background in career advising, community engagement, and storytelling. She holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from the American University of Beirut with an emphasis in Visual Anthropology from Freie Universität Berlin. A certified career advisor, Nour currently serves as the Career Advising & Alumni Engagement Coordinator for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at AUB and a Research Fellow with EUME Berlin. Nour is passionate about applying anthropology to craft meaningful narratives and develop innovative solutions for real world challenges.

Jennifer Studebaker (ACRN) and Matt Stoffer (NAPA) are both practicing anthropologists who are deeply involved in supporting professional development for new, young, and transitioning anthropologists. They currently are partnering to present resume building events.
