Engaging with New Jersey’s inclusive mandates across Social Studies, ELA, and Arts in the 6-12 curriculum, this day-long conference will provide educators with pedagogical skills, teaching resources, and content knowledge that reflects both LGBTQ and AAPI histories. Participants will learn from fellow educators and experts, take part in hands-on workshops, and walk away with ready-to-use materials for their classrooms. Some of the topics featured during this workshop include: intersectionality and the law, culturally responsive pedagogy, and creative approaches to teaching history.
