The Enhanced Emergency Sexual Assault Services Training, developed and delivered by Forensic Education's own Dr. Catherine Carter-Snell, is designed for Health Professionals working with people who have been sexually assaulted (e.g. Physician, RN, LPS, PN, Social Workers, Allied Health Professionals, etc.) The intent is to increase comfort and knowledge with supporting people who have been recently sexually assaulted, providing comprehensive trauma-informed services, standardizing terminology and intervention implications of injury and collecting or preserving evidence.
Registration for this training session is limited to healthcare providers and allied health professionals working in rural or remote Alberta communities. If you are outside those parameters, please email mailbox@aasas.ca for more information on other offerings.
