Level 2 builds on the teachings of Level 1 to apply the transformative aspects of a strength-based approach to supervision and positive art therapy. Together we will examine compassion fatigue, and burnout, in the context of developing resiliency. You’ll be invited to explore metaphoric and arts-based approaches to transference, counter transference, and projective identification. The goal of Level 2 is to deepen your understanding of theory in relationship to practice.

In this workshop series, you’ll get the chance to:

  • develop a theoretical practice as an art therapy supervisor
  • increase your skills in cultural humility and creating cultural safety in supervision
  • demonstrate a relational approach to supervision, framed in an ecological context, and including the seven-eyed model.
  • experience and learn strategies for arts-based supervision, including response art, post-session art and supervision art invitations.
