Pride & Prejudice First Lines - Embroidery Workshop
A most elegant introduction to the art of embroidery…
Join a beginner-friendly embroidery workshop inspired by Pride and Prejudice - perfect for anyone who loves stitching, literature, or simply trying something new.
You’ll create a delicate pastel design featuring an open book blooming with flowers, beautifully framed by the novel’s iconic opening line. Throughout the session, you’ll be guided step by step through a selection of embroidery stitches, building your confidence in a relaxed and welcoming setting - no prior experience required.
The workshop will take place in a room on the first floor of the St. James Wine Vaults. Refreshments will be available to purchase from the bar downstairs, to enjoy as you stitch.
Designed to be both enjoyable and informative, this session will give you the skills to continue stitching beyond the workshop. While your piece may not be fully completed on the day, you’ll leave with everything you need - and the confidence - to finish your embroidery at home, at your own pace.
All materials are included, along with expert instruction from Abigail Rose (Abigail Rose Creative) and Sophie Andrews (Laughing With Lizzie).
