Join a beginner-friendly embroidery and sewing workshop inspired by elegant Regency design - perfect for anyone who loves stitching, history, or learning a new creative skill.

In this workshop, you’ll create your own embroidered needle case, combining delicate historical motifs with beautiful Jane Austen-inspired fabrics. You’ll be guided step by step through a selection of embroidery stitches before learning how to assemble and sew your needle case, resulting in a practical yet charming addition to your sewing kit.

The workshop will take place in a room on the first floor of the St. James Wine Vaults. Refreshments will be available to purchase from the bar, to enjoy as you stitch and sew.

Designed to be both relaxing and informative, this session will give you the confidence to continue your embroidery and sewing at home. While your piece may not be fully completed on the day, you’ll leave with all the materials - and the knowledge - needed to finish it in your own time.
