Celtic storytelling and songs for families
Deep in the earth, sleeping seeds stir. It's time to rise and shine! Join storyteller Emily from Dragonfly Tales for songs and stories about the coming of Spring.
This time of year marks the turning of the season, with the Celtic festival of Imbolc falling midway between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Come and shake off the winter blues with traditional stories and songs to celebrate new life awakening in the natural world around us. Then take a walk in our beautiful nature reserve to see if you can see the spring shoots emerging! Come early to see the beautiful new stained glass windows, one for each of the four seasons. The doors to the Chapel will be open from 10.45am, with the storytelling starting promptly at 11am.
This is an for families with children aged 4+, please book a ticket for every person in your group, whatever their age. (Babes in arms are welcome, no ticket needed). We want everyone to be able to access this event and feel welcome at Abney Park. If you are unemployed or on a low income and would like us to arrange free tickets for you, please contact info@abneypark.org
