Trailblazers, innovators, renegades... Abney Park is full of them.

To celebrate International Women's Day, we'll be showcasing the cemetery's fabulously feisty women during this walking tour, led by Sam Perrin.

As the cemetery springs to life, learn about Abney's audacious aeronaut, a pioneering feminist author, a ground-breaking artist, as well as poets, entertainers, suffragettes and even a Wizard Queen!

The cemetery itself lies on what was once the grounds of Abney House, the estate of Lady Mary Abney, herself one of the foremost champions of religious dissent.

Starting at the High Street entrance, please meet at the far end of the pedestrian walkway - where the path splits into three.

Please note: There are no toilet facilities at Abney Park.
Please check your email on the morning of the event, in case inclement weather means we need to cancel.
