Presenting your Paper

Join us for the next Academia 101 session "Presenting your Paper" hosted by Professor Liz Parsons, Chair in Marketing at the University of Liverpool on the 20th October 2026 from 10am to 11:30am.

This session will help you to translate a paper into a presentation. It will cover:

• Presenting your paper
  • Understanding your objectives and audience
  • Getting the pitch right while keeping it simple
• Preparing your material
  • Structuring, designing and rehearsing your talk
• Delivering your talk
  • Key tips on delivery and addressing potential pitfalls

The workshop will include a series of practical exercises and open to PhDs at any stage of their research.
