Would you like to contribute to a major artwork project?
Renowned textile artist and Professor of Textiles at Manchester School of Art, Alice Kettle, will be joining us on Tuesday October 8th to discuss an exciting new project and how you can take part.
For the exhibition Hear My Voice, Portraits in Cloth May – Aug 2025 at the RWA gallery in Bristol, Alice is making a monumental stitched work, using a collection of portraits to make a crowd of people.
To celebrate the exhibition, and find out how you can be involved, we will be running a live portrait session with Alice. Alice will be introducing us to her work and the project, and AccessArt will lead a short practical activity to help you get started with portrait drawing.
This session is suitable for educators working in all settings, including EYFS, Primary and Secondary Schools, Health & Community Care, Home Education, Lifelong Learning and Museum and Gallery Education.
This session is particularly useful for those looking to submit portraits to be considered for Alice's artwork, however will also be useful for those looking to facilitate a portrait workshop. The deadline to submit your portrait's for the exhibition is October 31st.
