How Do We Know Our Curriculum is Inclusive?

Monday 12th October 5:00-6:30pm BST.

Aimed at: Curriculum Leaders, Senior Leaders Art Leads, KS1, KS2 and KS3 Classroom Teachers, Home Educators, Artist Educators.

Free for AccessArt members, £25 for Non-Members.

At AccessArt, we believe every child is entitled to a rich, ambitious, and joyful visual arts education. Our approach encourages creative exploration and supports teachers to build classrooms where all learners can participate and grow with confidence.

Join us for this online CPD led by Susan Coles and Mandy Barrett, as we explore how these values can be embedded in curriculum design to ensure creativity is accessible, meaningful, and relevant for everyone.

We’ll consider what it means to create a truly inclusive curriculum, and what practical steps you can take to ensure every learner can participate, thrive, and feel represented. We will consider adaptive approaches to teaching and learning, alongside the importance of selecting a diverse range of artists, makers, designers, and craftspeople. Through examples from schools and classrooms, we will examine how inclusive curriculum design can support independent enquiry, challenge stereotypes, and ensure all young people see creativity as something that belongs to them.

Join us to explore how these ideas can make a lasting difference in your setting, reflecting AccessArt's commitment to nurturing creative confidence and a sense of belonging for every learner.

Please note that this event is free to AccessArt Members. The ticket price for Non-Members is £25.

This session will not be recorded.
