Access:Given (A:G) is a one-day digital accessibility conference, created to be as inclusive and accessible as possible because we believe accessibility should be a ‘given’ in society – not granted.

Tickets are now on sale for Access:Given. They are £119 each, with a small booking fee, and you can add lunch to your order. There are also plenty of local eateries to grab your own food on the day.

Access:Given is curated by Michelle O'Connor and Ellen Boyle who came together to create a conference they’d love to attend. Both are neurodivergent and strive to create accessible digital products and reduce overwhelm for everyone. Michelle lives with a chronic illness which can result in brain fog, and Ellen lives with a toddler who takes up a lot of brain capacity.

We’ll have:

  • no over-lapping speakers, to avoid decision paralysis
  • breaks between each speaker, to allow for loo breaks and scrolling
  • a sensory space, for escape and respite
  • an open-door policy, for late-arrivers and early-leavers to come and go

Speaker details:

  • Ettie Bailey-King (she/her) - Ettie is an inclusive and accessible communication educator. She helps people to get clear and confident about using inclusive language, and communicate in a way that's more accessible to everyone. Visit Ettie's website to learn more.
  • Craig Abbott (he/him) -  Craig is the former Head of Accessibility at the Department for Work and Pensions and the creator of the DWP Accessibility Manual. He is a design lead and accessibility specialist, and my focus is user centred design. He is autistic and has ADHD. He is passionate about breaking down the stigma of mental health and neurodivergence.

Pay It Forward tickets:
