Visual Art Excursion IA1 Stimulus Experience

Join us for an exciting in-person event at Boondall Wetlands followed by Sky deck and QAGOMA Brisbane

If you are catching the bus from ACC, meet at the school entrance at 8:30am to get your name marked off the roll. The bus will leave at 8:40am to arrive at Boondall Wetlands by 9:15 am. After spending an hour at this location, we will continue on to Sky Deck and spend an hour here. Finally, we will walk across to QAGOMA, Brisbane and spend an hour walking through the free exhibits. We will remain here until 1:30 pm at which time will will commence the trip back to school. The bus to ACC will arrive back by 3pm for school pickup.

Itinerary:

8:30 students on the bus

8:40 travel to Boondall Wetlands

9:15 wetlands experience and morning tea

10:15 travel to Skydeck

10:50 Skydeck experience

11:50 walk to QAGOMA

12:00 QAGOMA/QAG and lunch

1:30 travel back to school

Time:  8:30am to 3:00pm

Please be aware that this excursion is COMPULSORY for all on campus students Art students (General and Applied). Distant Education students are also invited to join this experience.

NOTE:  If for some reason you cannot attend you MUST plan a similar experience for yourself as your entire year 12 Assessment is based on this experience. 

Students need to wear their school formal uniform on the day and will need to bring a phone to take photos, food, a water bottle, a sketch book and sketching equipment and any other personal belongings required.
