This course is suitable for physiotherapists working with dizziness in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Vestibular migraine is frequently under recognised and is a complex neurological disorder. It can be the sole cause of dizziness and imbalance or impact the rehabilitation outcome of other causes. PPPD is the newly agreed term for chronic dizziness and can exist with other vestibular pathologies, as is commonly the case with vestibular migraine, or be the sole cause of dizziness and imbalance.
Through lectures and case studies, delegates will gain an understanding of both pathologies, and develop skills to translate directly into clinical practice. There will be time for questions throughout the morning. Please note, vestibular assessment and basic treatment principles will not be covered on this course, however can be discussed during case studies.
