Action Hour for Gaza

Multiple dates and times Online

This is practical hour of action for Gaza.

As we watch the horrors continue to unfold in Gaza, it can feel overwhelming of what we can do to help.

In this gathering we will collectively set aside one hour to work through a list of actions that we can each individually take. In collaboration with Business Leaders for Peace, we will provide a list of suggested actions, but they are not exclusive and you can use the designated hour to take action in whatever way you wish.

You may want to call for an immediate ceasefire and delivery of full and unrestricted humanitarian aid, call for an end to arms sales to Israel or for financial sanctions. You may have other demands of your own.

The list of suggested actions will be shared for anyone to take but that could not join on the day.

Actions we will suggest will include;

Action Hour Format:

  • Signing the Business Leaders for Peace letter to the UK government
  • Writing letters to your own MP/Secretary of State
  • Contacting businesses complicit in violating international law by phone or email
  • Petition signing
  • Making donations to individual family fundraisers or aid providers

Action Hour Format:
5 mins - Welcome and brief context setting
5 mins - Run through a list of possible actions you can take
40 mins - Work individually or in breakout groups to take actions
10 mins - Moment of reflection and farewell

All you need to do is set aside the hour and turn up. If you can, please also share.

By joining this hour of action and taking steps simultaneously together we hope that you/we will do more than from the sidelines alone.
