The hike will be led by Garret Wilson and will provide an opportunity to enjoy the quiet of the early morning while exploring a slightly more adventurous route through the Old Carn and Sliabh Sneacht landscape.

The route will begin on the Old Carn Drovers Trail before taking a detour through sections of the lower foothills. The group will later rejoin the established trail for the return journey.

Due to the revised terrain, this event is most suitable for participants who are comfortable walking on uneven, wet and muddy ground. Suitable footwear is essential, and participants should come prepared for changeable weather conditions.

The walk leader will arrive approximately 15 minutes before departure.
