1940s Weekend: August 2026

Multiple dates and times

Join us for a weekend of nostalgia at Acton Scott Heritage Farm as we recreate the sights, sounds, fashions, and spirit of the 1940s.

Set in the heart of the Shropshire Hills, our Victorian working farm will be transformed into a living snapshot of wartime Britain, bringing the Home Front to life with living history, vintage entertainment, military vehicles, and wartime farming demonstrations.

As part of the weekend, discover the story of the famous “Dig for Victory” campaign and explore how farming and food production played a vital role during the war through themed activities and demonstrations across the farm.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast, vintage lover, or looking for a unique family day out in Shropshire, our 1940s Weekend promises nostalgia, entertainment, and hands-on heritage for all ages.
