The Bigger Picture: Images of AI

Description
Be Part of The Bigger Picture this September
Have you entered the words ‘Artificial Intelligence’ into an image search recently? Chances are the results were blue-hued pictures of glowing brains, robots with human features, network graphs and digital binary numbers—images that look like they're straight out of a sci-fi movie. These images can be misleading, and don't accurately reflect what AI technology really is, or how it affects our society and impacts our daily lives.
Join us in shaping a new visual narrative for AI by participating in The Bigger Picture. This is your chance to influence how artificial intelligence is seen and understood. Whether you're an artist, creator, or simply curious about the future of technology, we invite you to contribute your creativity and vision.
Let's work together to create images that tell a deeper, more accurate story of AI — one that educates, inspires, and challenges the status quo. Get involved and help us paint The Bigger Picture!
During the one-day workshop, participants will be challenged to consider questions like:
Do current images of AI portray specific aspects of the technology?
Do they enhance public understanding, and are they true to the realities of AI?
How would we like AI to be portrayed in images?
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project that seeks to reshape how AI is perceived and understood through thoughtful, innovative visual storytelling.
No prior experience or training with AI is needed—our facilitators will give you all the information you need to participate.
