Description

Preventing Compassion Fatigue

Do you care for others or are you in a profession where you look out for the needs and benefits of others before your own? Do you feel emotionally and physically exhausted, irritable, depressed with low frustration tolerance? Have you been experiencing less enjoyment at work and a diminished sense of accomplishment by the work you do? If so, you might be experiencing Compassion Fatigue. Often mistakenly characterized as burnout, Compassion Fatigue is a condition characterized by emotional and physical exhaustion leading to a diminished ability to empathize or feel compassion for others, often described as the negative cost of caring.

When not treated, Compassion Fatigue can take a physical, mental, spiritual and emotional toll on employees and individuals. Join Adaptiva HR to discover the signs and symptoms of Compassion Fatigue in an interactive and engaging workshop. Participants will learn strategies on how to recover from Compassion Fatigue and will understand how this type of stress differs from job burnout. By helping employees identify ways that they can take care of themselves, your team will proactively be creating a positive workplace environment. We hope you join us for an opportunity to discover ways to care for yourself while caring for others.

We're pleased to offer this with Common Good VT in partnership with the United Way of Northwest Vermont Mental Health Initiative:.
