Sean Daniels is highly regarded internationally as a theatre director and writer. He is also founder of The Recovery Arts Project in Florida, USA. His seminal play The White Chip makes its London debut in July 2025 at Southwark Playhouse.

Renowned theatre producers Tarento Productions are generously sponsoring Performing Recovery magazine to deliver a series of on and offline events in the led up to the UK premiere of this autobiographical comedy about addiction recovery.

In the first of these events, director, academic and Addiction Recovery Arts Network founder Dr Cathy Sloan will interview Sean online in the first of a series of "How to..." online Zoom events. Sean will be talking about his playwriting process and talking questions from the audience.

The White Chip, a New York Times Critics’ Pick, has been performed around the world as a catalyst for community conversation and connection. It ran Off-Broadway, produced by Hank Azaria, Jason Biggs, and Tony® winners John Larroquette and Annaleigh Ashford. The New York Times commented, “Plays save lives in all kinds of ways. I would bet that The White Chip has and will."

First written and produced in 2016, The White Chip was published last year by Dramatists Play Service.

Join us from 5pm (UK time) on Thursday 27th March for this exciting in conversation event. There will be time for networking with everyone after the talk and Q+A with Sean.
