Adelfi Space X Social Food Club — two female collectives joining forces in the spirit of sisterhood to bring you a special experience on the 25th of August!
Join us for the End Of Summer Soirée: Dine & Connect - an event at the intersection of food, art, talks and female connections. Explore topics of sisterhood & femininity, connect with a community of like-minded women and indulge in the lavish flavours of seasonal vegetarian cooking.
Expect a full day of talks, art & food including:
- a panel talk — led by Aleksandra Nowak from Adelfi Space in collaboration with PhD researcher on sisterhood Sandra Frydrysiak, this talk will explore the topics of intersectional feminism and sisterhood,
- cultivating new connections with a facilitated sisterhood speed dating,
- photography exhibition by Diana Ahudża exploring the feminine body and its connection to nature,
- a culinary journey from Social Food Club, with a twist on Mediterranean flavours, bringing you seasonal and flavourful sharing dishes, featuring vibrant lemons and creamy burrata to celebrate fresh and bold ingredients. Not just a meal, a story of summer through food.
All in a beautiful loft house with a garden in the northern part of Berlin, Pankow. We disclose the exact location only to participants.
Price: 65 euro (incl a non-alcoholic drink).
If you are a wine lover, we will have a special natural wine pairing option for you!
In collaboration with a natural wine bar the Rad - especially for our event, the winery chose wines from female founded wineries.
We aim for our pricing to be inclusive and accessible to the wider community - we are reserving 3 seats for 3 participants who are unable to pay the full ticket price. Experts on a panel talk:
Sandra Frydrysiak - doctor of cultural studies, sociologist, gender studies expert, lecturer. Co-author of the research ‘Sisterhood - from the idea to the practice’. Member of the EuroGender network (within the European Institute for Gender Equality).
Aleksandra Nowak - journalist, writer, cultural studies expert, activist. Author of two books - on slut-shaming & on women's rage. Co-founder of Adelfi Space project.
