Welcome to Adulting with ADHD in Scotland
Adulting is hard at the best of times. Harder still when you have a brain not entirely aligned to the demands of the modern world.
This online group is for adults living in Scotland with ADHD. The group is for learning from each other how to work with the struggles and strengths of our differently-wired brains. We'll share tips and stories too of navigating access to assessments, diagnoses, care, education, employment, and financial support in the Scottish health, legal and welfare system.
The goal of these sessions is to support each other through community. We'll trade stories, knowledge, and experience, and seek to help everyone feel less alone in their journey.
Whether you're in a multi-storey in Maryhill, a cottage on a croft on Coll, or in the hoose in Inverness, log-on, learn, and lend a hand. No confirmed diagnosis is needed to participate.
The session is run on Zoom. This can be accessed on a desktop, a tablet, or on your phone. No Zoom application or account is needed. A link to join the meeting will be issued when you complete your order.
This session is run by ADHD Scotland, a not-for-profit organisation launched in 2026 to celebrate and support people with ADHD living in Scotland. Charitable status pending.
Session Arrangements
The session starts with us all introducing ourselves our current circumstances. The session lead will propose some topics for discussion to gauge interest, and we'll chat informally through the topics that interest or resonate with people most.
Tickets and Memberships
The session can be accessed by buying a single event ticket, or by buying an annual membership and booking a place on the dates you want to join. There are 2 membership types available for this session. An Adult Membership, or a Combined Membership.
Group Rules
- Maintain the privacy of the people in the session by not sharing details of the conversation beyond the group. That means no recording the session with AI or any other tools. This is a caring and supportive environment where sensitive issues are discussed.
- The session is for adults with ADHD only. Age 18+.
- Be kind, always. These sessions include people who may be struggling, and us ADHDers are especially sensitive to criticism.
- You're the expert on you but be curious and open to learning from others about how to manage your ADHD and wider wellbeing.
Anyone who does not comply with these rules may be removed from the session with no refund issued.
