About

Our theme for this year's conference is Rooted and Rising: Connecting Heritage, Innovation and Embodied Futures.

This theme invites us to explore where we have come from and where we are going as a profession. Like roots beneath the earth and branches reaching towards the sky, we honour the foundations of Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) while embracing innovation, new perspectives, and the evolving possibilities of practice in the 21st century.

Set within the beautiful, tree-lined grounds of Ham Green House, this year's conference offers the perfect environment for reflection, learning, and connection. Join the ADMP UK community for a weekend of movement, creativity, curiosity, and shared experience as we deepen our connection to the core of DMP while branching out into fresh ideas, emerging frameworks, and new perspectives.

Whether you're looking to expand your practice, reconnect with colleagues, or take time for personal and professional reflection, this conference offers an inspiring opportunity to earn 15 hours of CPD while being part of our vibrant community.

Venue

Nestled in four acres of therapeutic gardens on the outskirts of Bristol, Ham Green House offers a calm and restorative setting for our event. Surrounded by nature and steeped in history, this beautiful Grade II listed Georgian house provides the perfect space to learn, connect, and recharge away from the demands of everyday life.

Accommodation

A number of single or double occupancy rooms are available to book at Ham Green House for Saturday night as part of our conference weekend. All on-site accommodation bookings include a nutritious breakfast, helping you start the day refreshed and ready for the conference. Simply add accommodation to your booking at checkout.

For those preferring to stay elsewhere, a range of nearby options are available within a short drive of the venue, including Premier Inn Portishead, Ramada Bristol M5, and Best Western Henbury Lodge Hotel.

Getting There

Ham Green House is easily accessible by car, with free on-site parking for up to 65 vehicles.

To help make travel easier and reduce our environmental impact, we've set up a car sharing tool (linked in the event confirmation email), where you can offer a lift or request one from other attendees.

If you're travelling by public transport, take the train to Bristol, then catch the X4 bus to Anchor Inn. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the venue.
