Program Description:
Join Adventures Without Limits for a paddle on the Santiam River! Oregon is known for its snow-capped mountains and rocky coastlines but it is the rivers that connect these landscapes and provide a home for some of the most iconic wildlife in the Pacific Northwest. Grab a paddle and join our expert guides as we navigate class II-III rapids. This event is open to the public, inclusive, and accessible to people of all abilities. We specialize in creating a welcome space for diverse sets of needs.

Note: This location is subject to change depending on river levels and weather. 


Transportation:

Participants are encouraged to meet on site. If transportation is a barrier, we have a transportation option available when you register. Transportation is $10/person.

If you would like to use AWL's transportation and meet us a centralized pick-up location (Beaverton Transit Center), please select "AWL transportation" when registering. 


Itinerary:
8:15 AM- Meet at pick up location (Beaverton Transit Center)

10:00 AM- Arrive at Mill City Falls Park, introductions & bathrooms

10:30 AM- Arrive at Packsaddle raft put-in & safety talk

11:30 PM- Launch rafts- time to paddle!

3:30 PM- Return to shore/Closing circle/Pack Gear

4:30 PM- Depart from Mill City

6:15 PM - Drop off at Beaverton Transit Center

*To ensure adequate paddling time, we recommend coming dressed in the clothes to paddle in

Inclusions:

  • Certified raft guides

  • Trip planning & logistics

  • All equipment (rafts, paddles, PFDs, dry bags, first aid, safety gear)

  • Location permits

  • Adaptive equipment/outdoor gear (available with 7 days prior notice)

  • Transportation (optional- must notify at time of booking)

  3. Look for a confirmation email ensuring that your registration is complete!

Participants will receive a registration email after they've completed the registration process. Liability Waivers and Gear Request Forms will be linked in the confirmation email. Participants MUST sign the electronic waiver and complete a gear request at least 7 days prior to the trip. If the participant signs the waiver or completes a gear request after this time frame, then we may not be able to accommodate any specific needs on the trip. If the participant fails the sign the waiver, they will not be permitted to join the trip.
