Program Description:
Join Adventures Without Limits for a Snowshoe Trip in Mt. Hood National Forest! Enjoy the beauty of a winter wonderland while exploring with our expert guides. This event is open to the public, inclusive, and accessible to people of all abilities. We specialize in creating a welcoming space for a diverse sets of needs.
Transportation:
Participants can meet our team on-site at the trailhead or at a centralized pick-up location (Gateway Ross - 9916 NE Halsey St, Portland, OR 97220). Transportation is $10/person. If you would like to use AWL's transportation and meet us a centralized pick-up location, please select a "Transportation Included" ticket when registering.
Our snowshoeing location is subject to change based on weather and trail conditions.
Please note: if driving yourself, winter conditions may require winter tires or chains, and you may need a Sno-Park pass for parking. Sno Park day passes can be purchased for $4 at the Hood View Thriftway in Welches, Joe's Donuts in Sandy, and at other convenience stores on your route to the mountain.
Itinerary:
8:00 AM- Meet at pickup location 1: Milky Way Building - Pacific University Pickup
9:00 AM- Meet at pickup location 2: Gateway Ross (next to the Gateway Transit Center)
10:15 AM- Meet at Summit Rest Area Mt. Hood (15 minute stop: change/bathrooms)
11:00 AM- Arrive at White River West Trailhead/Sno Park, introductions, and snowshoeing instruction *Note: This location is subject to change depending on trail conditions and weather.
11:30 - 2:00 PM- Time for snowshoeing! (2-2.5 hrs of activity)
2:00 PM- Return to trailhead/closing circle
2:30 PM- Depart trailhead
4:00 PM- Drop off at the Gateway Ross (next to the Gateway Transit Center)
5:00 PM- Drop off at Pacific University

Winter attire: boots, gloves, hats, jackets, etc. (available with 7 days prior notice)

Participants will receive a registration email after they've completed the registration process. Liability Waivers and Gear Request Forms will be linked in the confirmation email. Participants MUST sign the electronic waiver and complete a gear request at least 7 days before the trip. If the participant signs the waiver or completes a gear request after this time frame, then we may not be able to accommodate any specific needs on the trip. If the participant fails to sign the waiver, they will not be permitted to join the trip.
