Program Description:
Escape into the snow covered winter wonderland of Mount Hood National Forest to discover a world of tranquility and crisp winter air. Strap on your snowshoes and join Adventures Without Limits expert guides as they share their favorite trails and tricks and tips to getting outside in the winter. No experience necessary, just a sense of adventure and a love for being outdoors!
Itinerary:
8:15 AM- Meet at pickup location: Hillsboro Community Senior Center (MUST be arranged at least 5 days prior)
10:15 AM- Meet at Summit Rest Area Mt. Hood (15 minute stop: change/bathrooms)
11:00 AM- Arrive at snowshoe location, introductions and snowshoeing instruction
11:30 - 2:00 PM- Time for snowshoeing! (2-2.5 hrs of activity)
2:00 PM- Return to trailhead/closing circle
2:30 PM- Depart trailhead
4:30 PM- Drop off at Hillsboro Community Senior Center
Transportation:
Participants can meet our team on-site or at a centralized pick-up location (Hillsboro Senior Center). To use our transportation, all participants must be vaccinated. Those who are not can meet on-site. Please note, if driving yourself, winter conditions may require winter tires or chains.
Cost:
$90/person based on a minimum of 6 participants and max of 12

Packing List & Gear Requests:
Please review the Winter Packing List. If you need to borrow any gear please submit a Gear Request Form at least 7 days prior to the trip date. Not completing this form may result in our team not having the proper gear available for you. That's no fun for anyone!
Liability Release Waivers:
Participants MUST sign the electronic waiver at least 4 business days prior to the trip. If the participant signs the waiver after this time frame then we may not be able to accommodate any specific needs on the trip. If the participant fails to sign the waiver, they will not be permitted to join the trip.

Inclement weather is in the forecast, should we cancel?
What if I need to can no longer come?
To cancel your spot, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible and at least 5 days in advance for a full refund (minus transaction fees). If you cancel within 5 days of the trip, then you will forgo 50% of the program cost.
What if I want to reschedule?
If you notify us at least 5 days in advance, you can reschedule without penalty minus any transaction fees. If you notify us within 5 days of the program, you will forgo 50% of the program cost and we can apply the remaining balance to another trip date.
If we need to cancel, how should we notify you?
The short answer is, the fastest and most direct way. An email or phone call as soon as you think you may have to cancel is the best option. Even if you're unsure, shoot us an email. It will be very much appreciated.
What if AWL cancels the program?
If AWL chooses to cancel a trip due to weather, environmental conditions, or otherwise, you will be given a full refund. Please note, our trips require a minimum of 6 participants to proceed.
