Program Description
Oregon is known for its snow-capped mountains and rocky coastlines but it is the rivers that connect these landscapes and provide a home for some of the most iconic wildlife in the Pacific Northwest. Oregon alone has over 110,000 miles of rivers of which nearly 2,000 miles are designated Wild and Scenic. Grab a paddle, push off from shore and join our expert guides for the next two nights as we navigate rapids, float between canyon walls and fall asleep beneath the stars. Along the way enjoy the scenic landscapes and watch for fish darting through the crystal clear waters beneath us. With the perfect combination of calm floats and excitement, this multi paddle is the perfect weekend escape into the wilderness.
Is this trip right for me?
We believe that everyone belongs in the outdoors. Our trained guides, adaptive equipment and decades of experience allow us to host diverse communities in outdoor spaces. That being said, some trips may be better suited for your interests and comfort level. While it is not required, prior white water rafting experience is helpful. Participants should feel comfortable being on and in water and outdoors for extended periods of time with potential exposure to sun, heat, rain, cold and wildlife. You should expect to spend two nights sleeping in tents, using portable restrooms and several hours each day sitting and paddling in a raft. Please review our Water Sports Essential Eligibility Criteria prior to joining for more details. If you have any questions as to whether or not this is the proper trip for you, our staff would be happy to assist.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Inclement weather is in the forecast, should we cancel?
The AWL guide has the sole responsibility to cancel a program due to weather conditions. Certain weather conditions are often unavoidable in Oregon.
What if we don’t get enough participants?
In order to guarantee that the trip will proceed, we must reach the minimum required number of participants at least 7 days in advance. If we do not reach that number by this time, we have the right to cancel the program.
If we need to cancel, how should we notify you?
The short answer is, the fastest and most direct way. An email or phone call as soon as you think you may have to cancel is the best option. Even if you're unsure, shoot us an email. It will be very much appreciated.
What if AWL cancels the program?
If AWL chooses to cancel a trip due to weather, environmental conditions, or otherwise, you will be given a full refund. Please note, our trips require the minimum number of participants listed above to proceed.
What if a participant cancels?
If you need to cancel your spot on a trip, you must do so at least 5 days before the date of the trip in order to receive a full refund. If you cancel within 10 days of your trip, you will be charged 50% of the total trip cost. If you cancel or no-show on the day of your trip, you will forfeit the entire cost of the trip. There is no exception to this policy.
I have other concerns or questions about the cancellation and refund policy, who should I contact?
Please contact the Program Team at info@awloutdoors.org
