Program Description:

Join Adventures Without Limits for a Fall foliage kayak tour of the Tualatin River! We will paddle along calm flatwater, around bends, and through colorful autumn leaves as we meander up and down the Tualatin. This event is open to the public, inclusive, and accessible to people of all abilities. We specialize in creating a welcome space for diverse sets of needs.

Transportation:

Participants can meet our team on-site at the Cook Park Boat Ramp in Tigard (17005 SW 92nd Ave, Tigard, OR 97224) or at a centralized pick-up location (Hillsboro Senior Center: 750 Eighth Ave. Hillsboro, OR 97123). Please indicate on your registration if you intend to use AWL's transportation.

Itinerary:

9:00 AM- Pickup @ Hillsboro Community Senior Center (MUST be arranged at least 5 days prior to event)

10:00 AM- Arrive at Cook Park Boat Launch, introductions, bathrooms and instruction

10:30-1:30 PM- Time to kayak!

1:30 PM- Return to shore/closing circle

2:00 PM- Depart

3:00 PM- Arrive back @ Hillsboro Community Senior Center

Packing List & Gear Requests:

Please review the suggested WATER SPORTS PACKING LIST. If accessing any of these items is a barrier for you, please fill out a Gear Request form at least 5 days prior to your trip. 

Liability Release Waivers:

• Participants MUST sign the electronic waiver at least 7 business days prior to the trip. If the participant signs the waiver after this time frame then we may not be able to accommodate any specific needs on the trip. If the participant fails to sign the waiver, they will not be permitted to join the trip. If you are attending multiple trips in the same week, only one waiver is required.

• Our team is trained to accommodate a variety of needs while on our trips, however, some trips and activities require certain requirements and abilities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Inclement weather is in the forecast, should we cancel?

• The AWL guide has the sole responsibility to cancel a program due to weather conditions. Certain weather conditions are often unavoidable in Oregon.

What if we don’t get enough participants?

• In order to guarantee that the trip will proceed, we must reach the minimum required number of participants at least 7 days in advance. If we do not reach that number by this time, we have the right to cancel the program.

If we need to cancel, how should we notify you?

• The short answer is, the fastest and most direct way. An email or phone call as soon as you think you may have to cancel is the best option. Even if you're unsure, shoot us an email. It will be very much appreciated.

What if AWL cancels the program?

• If AWL chooses to cancel a trip due to weather, environmental conditions, or otherwise, you will be given a full refund. Please note, our trips require the minimum number of participants listed above to proceed.

What if a participant cancels?

• If you need to cancel your spot on a trip, you must do so at least 7 days before the date of the trip in order to receive a full refund. If you cancel within 7 days of your trip, you will be charged 50% of the total trip cost. If you cancel or no-show within 48 hours of your trip, you will forfeit the entire cost of the trip. There is no exception to this policy.
