ABA Leadership & Career Development: Recognizing and Managing Biases
Series Overview
ABA's Leadership & Career Development is an interactive training series designed to help arts and culture leaders and individuals strengthen their managerial and professional skills.
In this session, Recognizing and Managing Biases, we will cover how to:
- Understand concepts of unconscious bias
- Identify and practice awareness of bias in the workplace and recruitment
- Practice calling out biases and prepare apologies for when you make a mistake
Participation Expectations
- Each session is 2 hours long and takes place virtually on Zoom on Wednesdays, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm ET.
- Actively participate and keep your camera on throughout for the full session
- Be prepared to engage in discussions and interactive activities
- Sessions are not recorded to encourage open conversation
