In today’s competitive funding landscape, strategic grants management is essential for sustainability, growth, and long-term impact. This session will explore how to identify new grant opportunities to diversify your funding, secure larger and less restrictive grant awards, and cultivate lasting relationships with program officers. 

This is not Grant Writing 101—it’s a presentation about taking a more strategic approach to fundraising, from prospecting and positioning to relationship-building and maximizing long-term funding potential.

In this session, you will learn to:

• Identify strategies for diversifying a grant portfolio and uncovering new funding opportunities.
• Evaluate prospective funders based on alignment, funding potential, restrictions, and long-term relationship-building opportunities.
• Develop strategies to position your organization and programs for larger, more flexible, and more sustainable grant investments.
• Apply relationship-building strategies to cultivate meaningful connections with program officers beyond the grant application.

About the Presenter: Lindsay Lancaster, Associate Director of Development – Corporate and Foundation Relations, BirdLife International

Lindsay Lancaster brings over a decade of experience in foundation relations, with experience advancing mission-driven work across grassroots, national, and global organizations. In her current role as Associate Director of Development – Corporate and Foundation Relations at BirdLife International, she manages a global portfolio to advance bird conservation and global biodiversity. Previously, she raised millions of dollars at the Student Conservation Association to connect young people with nature and support conservation leadership. Earlier in her career, she served as the Development Director at Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids, where she helped scale its school vegetable garden program statewide in Delaware.
