The Agatha Christie Festival is delighted to open its Literary Festival by welcoming back bestselling author, Lucy Foley, who has written the new Miss Marple novel Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel.
It is fifty years since Agatha Christie’s last Miss Marple novel, Sleeping Murder, was published, so Lucy’s Miss Marple continuation novel is a landmark event in the Christie-verse.
Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel is set high in the Swiss Alps, at a luxury hotel that draws glamorous guests from far and wide. But when one of the guests is found dead, it’s clear there is a killer in their midst. Luckily Miss Marple is on hand and she suspects everyone…
Lucy Foley is a No.1 Sunday Times, Irish Times and New York Times bestselling author, whose contemporary murder mystery thrillers have sold over five million copies worldwide. She is a Waterstones Thriller of the Month author, a three-time nominee at the British Book Awards, and The Guest List was a Reese’s Book Club pick. As a lifelong Agatha Christie fan, Lucy has also contributed to Marple, a collection of short stories featuring the legendary detective.
Lucy will be interviewed by HarperCollins’ head of literary estates David Brawn who has been Agatha Christie’s publisher for over 30 years.
**Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel is published on 22 September, but copies will be available to purchase on the day of the Opening Event at the East Gate Bookshop stall. Lucy will be available for signings afterwards**
