Ian Moore: Death and Déjà Vu

Sat 19 Sep 2026 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Spanish Barn, Torre Abbey, TQ2 5JE

‘A joyous romp through the Loire Valley with Agatha Christie…’

Saturday’s concluding day event sees author and stand-up comedian Ian Moore talk about his latest book, Death and Déjà Vu. Inspired by the novels of Agatha Christie it is the sixth in the popular Follet Valley Mystery series about Richard, an unassuming, middle-aged Englishman who runs a B&B in the Loire Valley. Reluctantly drawn into solving a series of murders by his glamorous guest, Valerie d’Orçay, Richard sees his much-coveted rural peace shattered. The Follet Valley Mysteries, which include Death and Croissants, Death and Fromage and Death at the Chateau, combine a thoroughly intriguing murder mystery with warmth, wit and just a little je ne sais quoi

Ian Moore is a leading stand-up comedian, known for his sharp, entertaining punditry. A BBC TV and radio regular, he was a Champion on Richard Osman's House of Games and stars in Radio 4’s The Now Show. Ian lives in rural France with his family, where he seeks solace in the production of fine chutney.
