Ageing Without Children (AWOC UK) is delighted to welcome Evie King as the speaker at our next free one hour webinar. She is an expert on "dying without family" and will give us her insights on how AWOCs should plan for our death.
Evie is a local authority funeral officer, writer and former stand up comedian. She is the award-winning author of "Ashes to Admin: Tales from the Caseload of a Council Funeral Officer". She is also an Ambassador for Locate International, the charity for missing and unidentified people, and provides training for UK council funeral workers. Her second book "Get Ahead of Being Dead: Your Handy Planner for the End of Life" was published on 18 June 2026.
She will speak for about 30 minutes followed by questions.
Places are limited by our Zoom licence and so please register only if you expect to be able to attend, and please cancel your booking if this changes so that someone else can register instead. The webinar will be recorded and we hope to make the recording available online later.
Both people ageing without children and anyone else with a personal or professional interest in this topic are welcome to attend. If you have any queries or for more information in advance of the event, please contact awoceastkent@gmail.com.
