Ring Making with Sara Barker

Join local jeweller Sara Barker for a hands-on introduction to the traditional art of wax carving for jewellery making. Suitable for all skill levels, this creative workshop will guide you through designing and carving your own unique ring from jeweller's wax using simple tools and techniques.

Sara will provide expert tuition throughout the day, helping you develop your design and prepare it for the lost-wax casting process. Whether you're completely new to jewellery making or looking to try something different, you'll enjoy a relaxed and supportive environment while creating a truly personal piece.

All wax-carving materials are provided. If you would like your ring professionally cast, this can be arranged after the workshop at an additional cost. Casting is available in silver or white bronze, with prices depending on the size and weight of your finished design.

A light lunch and refreshments are included in the price

If travelling to the venue is difficult, please let us know. We're happy to arrange collection for small groups from Wivenhoe or Alresford by prior arrangement.
