What is Carbon Literacy Training?

Carbon Literacy Training is an interactive and inspiring course that equips participants with an understanding of climate change, its causes, and its global impacts. It empowers individuals to take meaningful carbon-reducing actions in both their personal and professional lives.

Who is the course for?

This course is ideal for SMEs aiming to take meaningful climate action and integrate sustainability into their operations. It provides business owners, leaders, and employees with practical knowledge and tools to drive positive environmental change through their roles.

Course outline

1. Understanding the causes and effects of climate change 

2. The role of SMEs in climate action 

3. Local and collective climate action 

4. Understanding your carbon footprint

5. How to motivate others to take action

To receive your certificate you will be required to pledge two actions, one as an individual and the other in a group setting. These actions must be submitted within 10 working days following completion of the course. All actions are reviewed by the Carbon Literacy Project prior to awarding you with your certificate. Please note certification is not guaranteed. If you are not successful on your first submission, there is an additional re-submission charge of £15 levied by the Carbon Literacy Project. 

How much does the course cost?

The course costs £140pp. This includes the cost of the certificate from Carbon Literacy Project (£15) and a £25 donation to Rewilding Britain
