After 35 years in Chicago, Donal reluctantly returns to the Scottish Highlands to reconcile with his estranged older brother, Sandy. Sandy desperately needs Donal to take over the family's 200-year-old whisky distillery; if he refuses, Sandy will be forced to sell and give up on the family's legacy for good. However, their long-awaited reunion forces the two brothers to confront a shared history and the real reason Donal left Glenrothan in the first place. Serving as Brian Cox’s directorial debut, it’s a tense, character-driven drama about family, forgiveness, and the secrets we keep.
