Wicker (15) - Duns Community Cinema

Fed up with the snobby villagers who brand her an outcast, an eccentric coastal fisherwoman (Olivia Colman) takes matters into her own hands with an outrageous solution: hiring the local craftsman to weave her an ideal husband out of wicker. But when her woven companion (Alexander Skarsgård) reveals a gentle, soulful nature, the town’s cruel mockery quickly turns into fierce envy and chaos. Dark, funny, and delightfully bizarre, Wicker is a sharp-witted fairy tale about loneliness, gossip, and the joy of being thoroughly unconventional.

"An inventively made fantasy boasting an eye-catching premise and a typically rewarding performance from Olivia Colman." — The Guardian
