The Homes by Architects Tour, hosted by AIA Minnesota, is the only Minnesota home tour that exclusively showcases new homes and renovations designed by registered Minnesotan architects.

From Deephaven to Minneapolis to Rochester, from historic remodels to new retreats, this year's Homes by Architects Tour will inspire, provide practical ideas for your own home, and demonstrate the difference high-quality architectural design can make in your life.

The 2026 tour features 12 homes! Nine homes will be available to tour in person, including two in our new area, Rochester, on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 10:00–5:00 pm each day. Three homes will be available to explore virtually via 3D, interactive digital tours.

• Full-Access: $25 in advance | $35 tour weekend
• Student: $12
• Child, ages 5+: $12
• Virtual-only: $5
• Single Home: $12 (only available during tour weekend)

Tickets will also be available for sale with cash only during the tour hours at each home.

What is the Virtual Tour?
The Homes by Architects Tour is one of the few home tours still embracing the accessibility and opportunities that a digital tour experience provides. No matter which ticket you purchase, you'll get access to the virtual tour experience! This year, the virtual tour features:

• 3D, interactive tour of Home #1, an Ely cabin designed by Snow Kreilich Architects
• 3D, interactive tour of Home #2, a  unique take on an A-frame cabin in Wisconsin, designed by Twelve12 Architecture + Interior Design
• 3D, interactive tour of Home #3, a traditional retreat located on a Lake Minnetonka island, designed by Albertsson Hansen Architecture and Interior Design
• Photo galleries of all 12 tour homes

The virtual tour will be live on Saturday, September 19, and will run through October 4. You can find the password to the virtual tour experience in your Ticket Tailor confirmation email after purchase, and in the tour guidebook if you attend in person.
