AIMS book launch and workshop: The AIMS Guide to Breech Birth

To celebrate the launch of the new AIMS Guide to Breech Birth we are pleased to be holding a launch event with Joy Horner, the principle author.

Joy will be sharing her own practical experience in supporting breech births, and will then focus on the information about that is available in the book and how it can support women to make informed decisions about breech birth. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

There is a small charge for this event which includes a copy of the book. £15 for AIMS members, and £20 for others, with an offer of £10 for student midwives.

Finding out that a baby is in a breech position can come as a surprise and leave women trying to interpret complex information in a short time frame. They will often hear differing opinions, which can mean making decisions feels difficult and perhaps, overwhelming. The book has been written to help women make the decisions that are right for them and their baby.

The AIMS Guide to Breech Birth is also a handbook for those working in any part of our maternity services, for birth workers and anyone else supporting parents whose baby is breech. For more details of the book please see the AIMS Shop
