AIMS Engineering Academy

Completion of the above course:

•will provide you with essential academic and practical skills not gained at school

•it will prepare you to apply for the Engineering Practice NQ at SCQF Pre-apprentice Level 5 course or

NC @ SCQF Full time engineering course (NEME) Level 6 at Dumfries and Galloway College

•This will be a recognised qualification for entry to Engineering College courses

The skills you will gain will be:

•Measuring

•Basic hand skills

•Cutting methods

•AR Welding

•Welding

•Interpret engineering drawings

The course will be ran over 3 days:

Friday 25 April 2025 09:00 - 16:30

Friday 2 May 2025 09:00 - 16:30

Friday 9 May 2025 09:00 - 16:30

You will be provided with 2 food tickets up to the value of £3.00 for your morning break and £5.00 for your lunch break with can be redeemed in the College Canteen.

All PPE will be provided.

Please meet at the main college reception at 8.45am each day.
