Ainmean Charraige/Carrick Names is a not for profit volunteer organisation dedicated to further researching Carrick's rich place and personal-name heritage. We take the view that such data offers a unique window into Carrick's past history, the landscape, environment and how the people lived and shaped the land. Carrick has not hitherto been the subject of an in-depth study of this nature and we are confident much of interest will be discovered.
