Job hunting, career switching and returning to paid work in the age of AI.

This is a practical, baby-friendly event for women on maternity leave using AI to tackle job hunting, career decisions and the return to paid work.

Taking months off with a baby is enough to make you feel anxious about going back to paid work and question where you fit professionally.

Add AI changing how we find jobs, how employers hire and what our typical duties might even look like after 12 months of maternity leave, and returning to paid work can feel like… a lot.

But maternity leave can also give you a rare moment to ask a bigger question: what do I actually want to go back to?

So for our next event, we're getting practical about careers.

How can you use AI to make job hunting less painful? How do you make sense of your experience and what you want next? And could AI open up completely new career directions?

This is a beginner-friendly couple of hours to think about your next move — and make actual progress on it.

It's not a lecture, and you won't be talked at. We'll cover:

Something you'll do. A hands-on way to think about your next career steps through the lens of The Career Equation, a practical, proven framework by two time author, TEDX’r and expert on the future of work, Erica Sosna. You'll leave feeling you can make more confident career choices.

Something you'll think about. Workforce and workplace strategist and Fractional Head of Culture & Innovation, Kasia Hayward on how career breaks can create opportunities to rethink career direction, particularly in the context of AI and the changing world of work.

Something you'll see. The AI-enabled system one job hunter is using now with Katarina Ryan, a senior product leader, previously at Paramount.

We'll also open up a bigger question: if AI is changing the careers we're returning to, could it create completely new ones too? Including where experienced people with non-technical skills might fit into the growing ecosystem around AI.

Who it's for: women on maternity leave, any industry, any starting point — from "I've never touched AI to "I've had a play but wouldn't trust myself with it at work."
