Aircooled Only Campout – 4^th/ 5^th July 2020 – update 20th June

We visited the site over the weekend and had a long conversation with the site warden, we are pleased to announce that as long as campsites are allowed to open by the 4th July, then the Aircooled Campout WILL go ahead but to keep within guidelines as you can appreciate, we are having to restrict numbers and will have to be more formal than in previous years.

CONDITIONS:
NO one allowed to arrive on site until Saturday 4th July (9am Onwards)

AIRCOOLED CAMPING will be available on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th July for weekend ADVANCE ticket holders ONLY maximum number of units is 86, this allows 6m x 6m pitches, which will be marked to ensure social distancing. The middle of the field will be left open throughout Saturday for safe play.

AIRCOOLED SHOW & SHINE will go ahead on Sunday 5th for Day ADVANCE Ticket Holders ONLY, with a maximum of 30 vehicles allowing 5m x 5m pitches, with space behind the vehicles for picnics, while still allowing for social distancing. If camping we would politely ask you stay in your camping slot and there’s no need to book a Show and Shine ticket.

In order to run this event it's important that everyone attending is self sufficient and brings everything they need with them including Bin Bags. Camp site area to be clear and tidy by 12 noon on Monday 6th July. All rubbish should be placed in the onsite bins or taken away with you.

NOTES/OTHER CHANGES:

The main Toilet/shower block on the main campsite will remain CLOSED

Portaloos will be available but they will be through the gate by the Waste Bin area. Hand Sanitiser available in this area but again advise bringing your own.

You are welcome to bring your own portable toilet and an Elsan point is available again by the waste bin area.

NO Communal BBQ this year (for obvious reasons) and remember you need to bring your own food and drink for the weekend.

It’s unlikely we will have an STFU presence but are hoping to get a mix tape or 2 from the guys that we can play on Saturday evening through the PA system.

11pm Noise Curfew as usual due to location of the site to surrounding housing.

ALL BBQ’s & Fire pits to be positioned off the ground.



This is a joint promotion between Aircooled Events & Aircooled Only Facebook  Group.

This event is based on the successful formula of the Aircooled Campout we have run for the last 2 years and I would like to stress this is not a commercial venture to make money, its all about getting owners of aircooled vehicles together for a weekend.

The plan is to arrive anytime from lunchtime onwards on Friday, find a spot in the Rally Field, pitch up and meet people you have spoken to from the facebook and make some new friends, talk aircooled vehicles and generally have a good time.

New for 2020 we are holding a Sunday Aircooled Show and Shine open to people who haven't camped, arrival from 9am on Sunday morning. We will see if we can get some impartial or visitor judging going on, but it is more about making friends old and new and getting together with like minded people.

There are no traders or food stalls on site so you need to bring all you need to eat and drink with you

You are more than welcome to bring spares you may have for sale to try and sell them on, all i would say is if you can help another owner out with a part to get their vehicle back on the road then lets keep prices sensible :)

We are using the Rally Field at the site which has 2 x portaloos available and the main toilet block and showers is a 5 minute walk down the hill on the main site.

We need people to prebook so we can see whether the toilet facilities we have are enough so its ADVANCE TICKET only.

The cost is £22 per unit + VAT (vehicle) for weekend (Sat & Sun Night) or £15 + VAT for the Saturday night and Sunday daytime, this is more than the site is costing but this is to cover the cost of additional toilets & event sticker etc, hope this is ok with everyone. We have changed our ticket booking system this year so hopefully no addition charges
