Stop using Claude like Google.
A two-part live workshop where you stop getting answers and start getting actual work done, with a Claude that's set up for you, by you.
What version of Claude have you been using?
Most people who use Claude regularly have a similar experience: open a tab, type a question, get an answer, close the tab.
It's useful. But it's not really working.
You're using Claude the way you'd use a search engine — faster, smarter, but still just a lookup. There's a different version most people haven't found yet.
That version doesn't just answer questions. It does work. It remembers your context. It runs tasks while you're doing something else. It drafts the email before you've finished your coffee.
This workshop is the setup I wish someone had handed me in month one.
The gap between these two versions isn't skill. It's setup.
You can watch every YouTube video out there, try things, experience the highs of something clicking and the frustration of something that won't. Most people lose a lot of time to that approach.
Or someone can just walk you through the setup.
Where you might be right now
Most people who use Claude have made some version of this journey — though rarely all the way through:
- Chat → asking Claude questions, getting answers, closing the tab
- Projects → a persistent space that remembers context between sessions
- Skills → small reusable instructions for things you do repeatedly
- Automations → Claude doing real work for you, connected to your tools, running in the background
Most Akimbo participants are somewhere between Chat and Projects. This workshop gets you to Skills and beyond — on your actual work, in two sessions.
Claude isn't a search engine. It's a colleague. But it needs to be onboarded.
Think about what it takes to bring someone new into your working life. You don't hand them a question and wait. You give them context. You explain what matters. You show them how you like things done.
Claude works the same way. Most people skip that step — then wonder why it keeps producing generic answers.
This workshop is the onboarding you never did.
Picture Monday morning
You open your email expecting the usual: a pile of replies you've been putting off, that one message you've dodged for three days. Except this time, it's already handled.
That's what you walk away with from Claude as Co-Worker. We build one real co-worker together, and we use email as the example because everyone has an inbox. The real prize is the method behind it, so you can set up a new co-worker for anything else in your week.
Here's what you'll have by the end:
- Claude will know your voice. You'll give it simple instructions once, so your replies sound like you, not like a robot.
- You'll have a dedicated space set up just for this job, so Claude already has the context it needs instead of starting fresh every time.
- You'll build a shortcut called /reply-options. Think of it as a saved recipe: paste in any email, and it hands you back three ready replies, a yes, a no and a not yet, with one marked as the one it would send. You pick. It writes.
- You'll bring a real email you're stuck on right now, and solve it live in the room.
- You'll build your own simple tool with buttons, right there in the session.
- If you use Gmail, it keeps working after you leave: Claude finds the emails that need a reply and has drafts waiting the next morning.
- And before the session wraps, you'll start a second co-worker for a different job, because the same method works for your calendar, your notes, your content or your clients.
Over the two sessions we do a lot in Claude: teaching it your voice, saving jobs as shortcuts, running tasks on a timer, connecting your inbox, and building little tools of your own. Email is our worked example, and the skills work on anything. You build it all in the room, not watch someone else build it.
Session 1: Set it up
Tuesday, November 17th, 2026, 12:00 to 1:30pm ET
We start with a brand-new Claude, the way a new hire starts on day one. Then you tell it who you are, what it can look at, and how you like a job done every time.
- Day one: a brand-new Claude replies to an email. It is polite and generic
- Your email problem: Claude interviews you and names the one email job it could help with today
- You build: set up your project, then give Claude Instructions and your first Skill
- Peer check-in: share your Instructions and your email job in a small group
- Your turn to play: the last 20 minutes are yours. Pick your email job and work on it with the co-worker you just built
- Homework brief: one specific thing to do before Session 2
What you'll build:
- Your project: the desk your Claude works from
- Instructions: who you are and how you write, so replies sound like you
- Your first Skill: you'll build /reply-options together in the room
Between sessions: use /reply-options on five real emails, and write down your "who you are and what you always explain" note (Claude will ask you the questions). When a draft is wrong, fix the Instructions, not the email.
An honest note: it won't know your whole business after one evening. It gets better each time you fix its Instructions. That's the skill you take home.
Session 2: Put it to work
Tuesday, November 24th, 2026, 12:00 to 1:30pm ET
How it works:
- Show-and-tell: share what you fixed and steal each other's ideas
- Your inbox, on a timer: set up a task that runs by itself. Gmail users get a morning email. Everyone else gets a weekly briefing from the web
- Your own little app: your skill gets buttons. Paste an email, hit Yes, No or Not yet, and copy the reply
- Your next co-worker: last week was email. This week is any job you choose. Pick a starting point, set up a second co-worker, and show the room what you made
Fair warning: once you see it running on your own emails, in your own voice, you'll start seeing co-workers everywhere.
An honest note: connecting your email is optional. We show you exactly what Claude can read before you decide.
After this workshop, you'll be able to:
- Open Claude and know exactly where to go when you need to write something that matters.
- Give Claude the context it needs to do real work instead of generic answers
- Work through a hard or awkward email with Claude in minutes, in your own voice
- Build a Skill for something you keep doing manually
- Set up a new co-worker for any job, using the same four questions every time
- Know where things live in Claude, and what to do when the buttons move
- Tell anyone in your life what Claude can actually do, and show them
What you walk away with
Walk in using Claude like a smarter search engine.
Walk out with:
- A working setup you can open tomorrow morning
- Instructions that carry your voice across every task
- A Skill you built for something real in your work
- The confidence to keep extending it on your own
What people built
"I went into this workshop thinking I would learn more about how to use AI to help me a little bit more with tasks I was already using. But in 3 hours, instead I got a full-time Co-Worker who does tasks that would have taken me hours to compile. Comprehensive spreadsheets with details and instructions, daily and weekly schedules of production, management, and deadlines, long-term planning projections with analysis of costs. And that is only after one week of implementing what I learned in those 3 hours." - M. Ahern
"It was practical, output focused and delivered in a 'non techie way'." - M. Donovan
"Just created a 6-page animated visual for a complicated book which I struggle to communicate. That looks impressive." - Hans
Why this matters right now
Everyone you know is using Claude. Most of them are getting generic answers and moving on.
The gap isn't access. It isn't skill. It's setup.
The people who get real work done with Claude have done one thing differently: they treated it like a colleague, not a tool. They gave it context. They built structure around it. They made it theirs. They took the time to onboard.
That's what this workshop is for.
Who this is for
This is for coaches, consultants, and independent professionals who:
- Use Claude occasionally but feel like they're getting a fraction of what it can do
- Have tried to "get better at prompting" and found it didn't change much
- Want their AI working life to feel more like collaboration and less like search
- Are ready to actually set something up, not just hear about it
This is not for you if:
- You already have Claude set up to work the way you want, with your own skills and routines
- You're looking for a broad survey of every AI tool available
- You want to build production software or complex systems
- You're expecting a passive webinar. You'll be building in the room
You don't need to be technical. If you can write an email, you can do this.
This is for people who want to build one working co-worker with Claude, and learn to build as many more as they like.
Curiosity required. Technical expertise optional.
A note from Conor
I've been building with Claude for 18 months — not experimenting, actually using it to run my work. Coaching leaders and consultants through Akimbo and altMBA, I've watched the same thing happen every time someone new picks up Claude: they start with a question, not a context. They get an answer, not a colleague.
This workshop is the setup I wish someone had handed me in month one.

FAQ
I'm not technical. Will I keep up?
If you can write an email, yes. Nothing needs code, and Michelle helps in the chat the whole way.
I've used Claude or ChatGPT and it never stuck. How is this different?
Most people use a chat once and it forgets them. We set Claude up with how you write and what it needs to know, then you use it on a real job from your own week, starting with email. It keeps your way of working.
How much time does it take outside the sessions?
About 30 minutes between Session 1 and Session 2. Nothing before Session 1 except installing the app.
Do I need a Gmail account?
No. Session 1 uses emails you paste in, so any email works: Gmail, Outlook or a work account. In Session 2, Gmail users can also connect their inbox so Claude finds the emails that need a reply. If you don't use Gmail, you still build the same email app by pasting emails in.
Will there be a recording?
No recording. Like all Akimbo workshops, this is designed to work live, not on replay.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds available up to one week before Session 1, which is Tuesday, November 10.
Price
Early bird: $395 until Tuesday, November 10, 2026.
Full price: $495.
Registration closes Monday, November 16, 2026. Spots are limited by design.
