I'm delighted to be holding another supper club in partnership with Sula Brunch House in Gweek! It's such a pleasure to be partnering with this lovely venue right in the harbour of Gweek, close to the Helford river.
My June supperclub at Sula will nod, as always, to seasonal and local produce with meat or fish sensitively injected into the meal with options for vegetarians. Blueberries for this menu's dessert even come from Gweek; you couldn't get more local than that!
About Me
Since moving to Cornwall in January 2023, I've enjoyed slowly becoming part of the local food scene here. Formerly Head of Cookery at Truro School, I now work as a private chef, cookery teacher, and food writer. I also work two days per week at Sula, so it's lovely to be bringing something different also to their space in May.
Before relocating to Cornwall, I ran a series of hugely popular monthly supper clubs in London, which built up a loyal following for their convivial style and flavour-packed menus. During the pandemic, I partnered with Fidelio café in Clerkenwell, London, to deliver the food alongside intimate classical music concerts in-between lockdowns.
I am also the author of four cookbooks, including Foolproof One-Pot and Foolproof Veggie One-Pot.
I'm passionate about seasonal Cornish produce and love how close I feel to the ingredients I'm now cooking with in this part of the country; it's incredible to know that they've been grown merely a matter of miles away! My cooking is unpretentious, vibrant, and full of flavour, focusing more on content than swirls and foams. I always aim to be guided by the best ingredients available with a strong focus on Cornish produce.
What to Expect
Enjoy a canapé upon arrival followed by homemade focaccia and three delicious courses of local & seasonal produce @ £49.50 pp

**Spaces are limited to around 16 diners - book early to secure your seat by Sunday 21st June
***Cancellations before 21st June will receive a full refund. Any cancellations between 21st June and 24th June will be subject to 50% of ticket price cancellation fee or transfer to an alternative date, if possible. Any cancellations later that 24th June will be non-refundable. I will, of course aim to sell tickets after any cancellation. In successful, you would be refunded the full amount.
NB: Due to the prep for my supper clubs taking place in my own home kitchen and its inevitable limitations, I am unable to cater for those with special dietary requirements.
