119: Slow Fashion

Join Bella Sivyer in this fun, relaxed course to create beautiful items from discarded fashion. Make your wardrobe original and very cost effective while saving some land fill.

Slow fashion, as opposed to fast fashion, is the art of transforming the old and unwanted into the new and you-nique! So, gather a few unwanted items such as: shoes, bags, jeans, t-shirts, jackets, old jewellery, and scrap fabrics to create a masterpiece.

Your own sewing machine and basic sewing skills are required. We will do some small set projects that include scrap fabric jewellery, a sample patchwork quilt panel and embellishing techniques.
