Albatross Studio - Mini Print Exhibition Artist Ticket

Register to take part in a Miniprint Exhibition, to be held at Albatross Print Studio from 25th May to 2nd June 2024. This ticket is to have two mini prints accepted for the exhibition and includes the cost of mounting your prints. All work will be offered for sale for £45.

1. Purchase your tickets online before 30th April. Tickets must be paid for on application. When you purchase your ticket you will automatically be sent a link to an online form (as part of your booking receipt). This form will enable us to collate all the print entries and create labels. Please include; your name, the title and the medium of each print as you want this to appear on the labels and in any publicity and return by 7th May.

Size and presentation of work?

All work will be displayed unframed, in uniform, soft white, window mounts, which will be sourced by the studio. The mounts will measure 8” x 8” (to fit standard-sized, easily available picture frames), with an 11.5 x 11.5 cm aperture opening.  Prints to be exhibited should be 10cm x 10cm or less,  on paper 13x 13cm up to 18cm x 18cm, to be suitable for mounting within the above parameters. This allows a narrow margin for signature, and edition numbering if applicable, to show within the window.

2. Submit your online labels form by 5 pm on 7th May.

3. Delivery of work - on the dates specified below. 
The back of all work MUST be labelled in pencil with your name and the title of the print. Please also write your name on the packaging when you bring your work to the studio, so we can easily keep track of who has delivered their prints.

4. Mounting of prints
This will be done by a small group of volunteers in the studio on the 21st and 22nd of May, using the hinge mounting method. You may, if you prefer, arrange to collect your mounts from the studio to prepare your work

Dates for delivery:
Monday 13th May, 3-5 pm;
Tuesday 14th May, 10-12 or
Monday 20th May, 3-5 pm.
Work may also be posted to reach us before 20th May.

If you would like your unsold artwork returned by post, please include a suitably sized stamped addressed envelope that will fit two 8 x 8" mounts.

Key Points:

• We will not be selecting work. Instead, we are managing numbers by issuing a limited number of advance entry ‘tickets’ on a first come, first served basis, All ticket-holders’ work will be accepted.
• All work will be displayed unframed, in uniform, soft white, window mounts, which will be supplied and prepared by the studio.
• Entry fee £13.50 for 2 mini prints for display (cost of mounts included).
• Prints to be exhibited should be 10cm x 10cm or less, the paper border should be trimmed to a square, a minimum of 13cm x 13cm to a maximum of 18cm x 18cm.
• All prints in the show will be offered for sale for £45.
• Commission on any sales will be 15% (To save you doing the maths your return on each £45 sale would be approx £31, taking off 1/2 of the fee, 15% commission and probable 1.75% Zettle card reader charge.)

The exhibition opens Saturday 25th May, then daily until 2nd June, 10-5 pm.
