During this workshop you will get to grips with basic linocut printmaking!

We'll discuss what makes a dynamic one colour image before having a go and designing our own, transferring them to a lino block and then cutting our image. We'll then print the image as a repeat pattern for wrapping paper, as well as a single motif in another colour for cards and tags. You will use the studio’s historic Victorian Albion press and be guided through the process in a step by step way in our professional print studio.

Suitable for all abilities.

This course is intended for adults and limited to 6 participants. Booking is essential.

If you have to cancel:

Please let us know as early as possible if you are unable to attend.

The following charges will apply dependent on notice given:

• More than 4 weeks prior to course: A full refund will be given.

• 1-4 weeks prior to course: 50% of course fee will be retained by Albatross Print Studio

• Less than 7 days’ notice: 100% of course fee will be retained by Albatross Print Studio

• If you do not attend a course and have not previously informed us, 100% of the fee will be retained by Albatross Print Studio.

IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL:

We will keep you informed if there is any threat of a course not running or if there are not enough participants to make it viable. We will cancel at short notice only in the case of an emergency, such as illness of the tutors or extreme weather affecting access to and use of the building. We will do our best to give participants at least one weeks’ notice of cancellation. If we have to cancel a course 100% of course fees will be refunded.
