Collagraph is a technique for creating textured plates through collage. It is a playful, experimental process employing natural or common household and recycled materials.

This two day workshop will cover designing and constructing plates, inking up and printing using the etching press.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or more experienced printmakers who would like to explore some different approaches to collagraph. Additional value will be gained by doing some ‘homework’, between the two sessions, but this is not essential.

All materials will be provided. 

This course is intended for adults and limited to 6 participants. Booking is essential.

If you have to cancel:

Please let us know as early as possible if you are unable to attend.

The following charges will apply dependent on notice given:

• More than 4 weeks prior to course: A full refund will be given.

• 1-4 weeks prior to course: 50% of course fee will be retained by Albatross Print Studio

• Less than 7 days’ notice: 100% of course fee will be retained by Albatross Print Studio

• If you do not attend a course and have not previously informed us, 100% of the fee will be retained by Albatross Print Studio.

IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL:

We will keep you informed if there is any threat of a course not running or if there are not enough participants to make it viable. We will cancel at short notice only in the case of an emergency, such as illness of the tutors or extreme weather affecting access to and use of the building. We will do our best to give participants at least one weeks’ notice of cancellation. If we have to cancel a course 100% of course fees will be refunded.
